Ghouls

These figures were seldom completely human, but often approached humanity in varying degrees. Most of the bodies, while roughly bipedal, had a forward slumping, and a vaguely canine cast. The texture of the majority was a kind of unpleasant rubberiness. – H.P. Lovecraft, ’Pickman’s Model’

Ghouls are rubbery, loathsome humanoids with hooflike feet, canine features, and claws. They speak in what are described as gibberings and meepings. They are often encrusted with grave mould collected as they feed.

Lovecraft’s Ghouls are horrible creatures dwelling in tunnel systems beneath many cities. They have ties to witches and accasionally attack humans.

First encountered during the events of Case 008 – The Return Of The Ripper.
